While this last bit of summer is still setting in, there are still so many things to do before the Fall, crisp air comes through! There is still time to pack up and make a weekend beach trip, go to a state fair or make a road trip across the state!

Chicago's 40th Annual Jazz Festival will be going on August 30-September 2! That's right, during Labor Day weekend! This festival will showcase the greatest jazz artist from Chicago and around the world. The Chicago Jazz Festival is produced by the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events and programmed by the Jazz Institute of Chicago. So grab your lawn chair or blanket and get ready for your ears to be amazed.
Chicago will also be having a Throwback Festival September 7th to 9th in Gladstone Park. Music from the 50's to 90's, to bring you back in time! Check out the lineup here for some of your favorite tunes.
If you are up by Seattle, Washington, the Bumbershoot Festival will be going on August 31 to September 2. To name some of the amazing lineup: The Chainsmokers, Portugal. The Man, Ludacris, and so much more! Tickets start at $130.
Take a trip down South to Texas hill country. The Becker Vineyards near the German town Fredericksburg has their annual Grape Stomp on September 1 and 2! It's a complimentary event, so stick around for delicious wine tastings! There are so many other vineyards and wineries to check out while you're there.

Located less than 100 miles from Chicago is the Starved Rock State Park, on the south end of the Illinois River. From beautiful canyons to waterfalls, this place has it all! They also have lodging, activities and host weddings! This park has been voted the #1 attraction in the state of Illinois. Look how amazing this waterfall is!
The Indiana Dunes are located about 55 miles from Chicago, making it a great weekend stay, or even just for the day! These sandy dunes are right off Lake Michigan. Challenge yourself to a hike or sandboarding, you can rent a sandboard at local shops! The town of Chesterton is located near the dunes and have excellent spots to grab dinner after a long day on the dunes.
If you are down in Texas and want a lake day, the Waco cable park has it all! There's the famous epic slide, The Royal Flush, which has a 100 foot drop and shoots you high in the air. There is also a lazy river, a surf resort, cable park and of course cabins if you want to stay the night, or for a couple of days.
Milwaukee, Wisconsin is set on the coast of lake Michigan and on the confluence of three rivers, Milwaukee is truly the water city you have been looking for! Make your way to Bradford Beach where there is freshwater surfing, sail on Lake Michigan or take a kayak on the Three Rivers. They also do boat cruises if you wish to stay on the water after dark.
Florida has miles and miles of coastline. Depending on what you want to do at the beach, Florida has some of the top ranking beaches behind Hawaii!
Miami Beach caters to both party hungry and relaxation-seeking beach goers. Some beaches are clothing optional! Relax and soak up the hot days and glam up for the night life. You have to try the Cuban coffee and plantain ice cream! Yum!
Key West's locals are known for their live-in-the-moment philosophy. So throw any agenda out the window for this trip! They have delicious seafood quinine, influenced by Cuban and Caribbean flair that put a little kick to your everyday fish dish.
